Once a teacher is TESOL
trained he or she can be an EFL/ ESL teacher any where in the world.
Apart from regular school teaching this certificate will help you to
gain employment in all areas of language teaching which would include
special language school teachers, corporate trainers, call centre
trainers or ELT teacher trainers.
Asian teachers with a TESOL certification have a cutting edge over the
others as other teachers will have a general teacher training behind
them while TESOL qualified teachers will be specialized in teaching
communicative English which is the demand of the day. It is an added
qualification which is valued and in great demand in all ELT
organizations.
The TESOL program will help to get the best jobs not only in ones own
country but also abroad. It is a qualification recognized all over the
world.
The demand for ESL/ EFL Teachers in Asia is far more than the number
of qualified teachers that are available. Countries like China, Japan,
Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia are in constant need of
TEFL qualified teachers. Though countries like India have had English
for several hundred years yet the need for communicative English
teachers is strong and fast growing. It is not just in regular schools
that ESL teachers are required but at all levels where communication
is an important tool including the corporate and BPO sector as speech
and accent trainers, soft skill trainers and liaison and curriculum

look out for TEFL qualified teachers for holding workshops, training

levels from primary school to university to have a TEFL/TESOL
certification.
The teacher training fraternity is unable to match the demand for TEFL
teachers in most part of Asia and therefore the salary and benefits
offered to teachers is also witnessing an all time high.
